On Saturday, November 1, 2025, the Atlas Foundation and the New Orleans Interfaith Alliance gathered community members at Xavier University for Pope Francis & Fethullah Gülen: Two Traditions, One Table. The afternoon offered a meaningful space for dialogue, reflection, and connection across faith traditions.
Through thoughtful presentations by Rev. Mark Mossa, S.J., Dr. Scott Alexander, and a representative from the Atlas Foundation, participants explored shared values of compassion, service, and peace within Catholic and Hizmet-inspired Islamic traditions. Guided small-group discussions followed, allowing attendees to listen deeply and build bridges through personal conversation.
With live music, refreshments, and heartfelt exchange, the gathering reaffirmed the power of interfaith dialogue to foster understanding and the common good. We are grateful to all who joined us and helped make this event a truly inspiring experience.
